Paper Cranes 折り鶴

Paper Cranes 折り鶴

Paper CranesPaper Cranes折り鶴 are epic indie-alternative immersive folk.

The band is inspired by folk music that harks back to its heady heyday. Think old brick fireplaces, good wine, books and conversation; think moving tales of love and loss, heartache and elation – and everyday life.

Intertwine Fraser’s love of lyrical poetry and Naomi’s Japanese upbringing, add the lush instrumentation of a full band and you have Paper Cranes折り鶴.

The band weaves their stories into captivating and dynamic live performances, using a diverse range of instruments (shakuhachi, accordion, ukelele, mandolin, ocarina, harmonica), in songs that move between delicacy and outright abandon.

The band released an EP Oh, Love! in September 2012. Their debut album is set for release in 2014, with first single Little Darling out already.
