From ‘Breathe’ to ‘Smack my Bitch’ up the Prodigy still give an explosive performance and instigate a raging mosh that rocks.

If you had never been to the Trust Arena before this rave was one not to be missed and was well worth the Uber fair and Auckland traffic. Lasers, Pulsing Strobes, a smoke shrouded stage and ridiculous sub bass made for a killer set full of those 90s tracks that we know word for word.

Vocalists Keith Flint and Maxim lifted the vibe when lashing out statements like, “All the people that aren’t here tonight, “F**K ‘EM” and “All my Prodigy people on the sides, all my Prodigy people at the back, I’m with you”. These boys provided a seamless stage performance that only professional artists of this calibre can. I go as far as to say they made it look easy and came face to face with the frontline ‘moshers’ as if to challenge the fans to thrash even harder.

This live performance will be burned into the crowd’s memories forever. Due to early hits like ‘Everybody in the Place’, ‘No Good (Start the Dance)’, ‘Voodoo People’ being flipped and pitched to perfection. Throughout the performance the band could been seen smirking and joking while sneaking in ‘Boom Boom’ and ‘Out of Space’ but the majority of the set erupted with the bands fresh punk influence from the ‘Champions of London’ anthem.

It was a rave that went harder than most stage performances experienced in Auckland City and it was endlessly brutal, fans stomping the ground with hands in the air while they were being smashed with ridiculous grooves. It was pure chaotic electro savageness in the perfect sized venue that gave fans an experience of a lifetime.

Due to the abrupt finish to the concert there is no argument, The Prodigy left you feeling like you wanted more, as the entire concert oozed endless energy, massive beats, air horns, rave synths and of course those crowd destroying Prodigy pitched vocals that leave other bands in the Dust.
